Peter Lees has received three prestigious Spectrum Awards from the American Gem Trade Association, honoring his unique conceptualism, structural integrity, and artistic excellence in jewelry design and execution.

In a field in which mass production is increasingly common, Peter continues to personally handcraft consistently pleasing jewelry with extraordinary attention to detail and precision.

  • Spectrum Ring

In 2001, Peter received the A.G.T.A. Spectrum Award for a piece that he would later name "Spectrum Ring" after its award. The ring features an opposed-bar cut Rhodolite Garnet set into an architecturally-styled mounting. The visual interaction between the contrasting curved and straight lines in both stone and metal make this design a truly unique piece to own.

  • Blue Moon Earrings

His second award from the A.G.T.A., which he received in 2002, was for his "Blue Moon" Earrings. Genuine Blue Zircon set in Platinum and stamped on the back with the designer's signature "PLEES", this work would later inspire Peter's series of Aura pendants.

  • Neo-Deco Pendant

Most recently, in 2004, Peter received the A.G.T.A. Spectrum Award's Platinum Honors for his aura-inspired "Neo-Deco" pendant. The piece features an 11.19 carat bezel-set Blue Zircon held in place by individual spokes above a concave reflecting dish. The outer rim of the piece is accented with diamonds set between each spoke in platinum.
